Before I decided to focus on my health and losing weight again, I had been cooking up a storm. Among my friends, I'm known as the "Gadget Queen" - if something new comes out on the market I've got to try it so when members of the new healthy community that I'm a part of recommended I get the Dash Waffle Iron, well they had me at waffles and $9.99. But if you really know me, you know I can't just stop at buying one item. So I bought three...
Yup. Right there on the left is the Mini Dash waffle iron, panini maker and griddle because don't you like to make waffles, sandwiches, pancakes and crepes within minutes? Well I do, so I decided to go all in.
After I made the purchase, that's when I truly fell down the rabbit hole...
I spent hours online reading recipes for waffling the food that comes as part of my plan and over the last few months, I have learned how to not just turn a pancake into a waffle, but I can now make a grilled cheese sandwich out of mashed potatoes in my panini maker. I turned oatmeal into pancakes and even transformed a cream cheese cinnamon cake into a waffle.
Today, I'm going to be receiving my latest box of goodies and I will share my treasure trove with you but first, here's a video on how to waffle mac and cheese.
Truth be told, this was actually a super complicated recipe to try for my first waffle video but I was feeling ambitious. I actually had a waffle fail at first but the second time was totally a charm. Less water = better results! And don't worry, there will be plenty more waffle and mini dash video tutorials to come.
In the meantime, if you are now jonesing to buy the mini dash waffle iron and griddle, I've got you covered. The panini maker is a little pricey these days, so I suggest ordering that one from Target.
Have a great day and make sure to make your day waffle-y good!
